Small-Groups Goalie Training with Coach Aidan Hughes
Snipe Academy's Goalie Development program provides goalies with a structured small-group training environment designed to build stronger technical habits and improve their ability to apply those habits in game situations.
The program is led by Coach Aidan Hughes and is designed for goalies born 2013–2018.
Development Focus:
Throughout the program, goalies will work progressively through four primary areas:
- Movement
- Positioning
- Puck Tracking
- Rebound Control

We are excited to announce
At Snipe our goalie program was first introduced at the start of the pandemic and while the timing came with its challenges we benefited in unexpected ways. We learned about ourselves and how to deliver quality programming without rushing. During this time we built relationships and our coaches worked hard to help athletes navigate Covid and hockey.
At Snipe we recognize the amazing opportunities avaiable to goalies in London and we encourage kids to learn from everyone and our hope is to contribute to a goalies overall success. Our approach is one meant to provide goalies the ability to receive the progressional training needed for their success.
Goalie training can be expensive and while we love what London offers, our goal was to find 'our way' to offer amazing training to London area goalies while providing value to parents which would help goalies get more training. As with our other successful programs like Snipe HQ and Project Ice we want to offer the best value and in doing so we leverage our ice cost with our skill skates. This model allows both players and goalies to be a part of small groups, benefitting from intimate coaching all at an affordable rate.
Along with on-ice programs we also have our synthetic ice sessions which are amazing for new goalies, or elite goalies looking for that 1 on 1 detail. We can offer these private sessions at a friendly price and give you all the details you need for your next Goalie Project Session. Starting this summer the Goalie Project is ready to be a part of your process. We have some amazing camps coming that you will love. Our in-season support programs, and practice visits will give you the success you need for the season.
